You had ONE JOB. ONE!! And you couldn’t safely roll the trash cans past my car, could you? You just dragged it along the last bit of my car without telling me. And if I ask you about it, you’re just gonna be an arse and deny it. Another thing for me to learn how to repair...
GEE THANKS!! -_-

Dude. It'll buff out. Chill. If not, there's tons of places you can get paint repair kits.

Ehh...it's just superficial. I wouldn't worry about it.

Dads don’t take out the trash
Still, since this can literally just buff out, might as well do the whole car and make it suuuper shiny!

Actually, your dad has many jobs. One of which includes keeping you fed and with a roof over your head while you enjoy a car that - I assure you - you would likely not be able to afford on your own if you had to pay rent, gas, water, electric, cable, fuel, home insurance, medical insurance, car insurance, credit card, clothing, food, and automotive maintenance bills on your own.
“Thanks for taking the trash cans out to the street, Dad. Don’t worry about the scratch - it’ll be a new skill to learn, and then I’ll wash it. Does you car need a wash, too?”
A little scratch over your wheel well ain’t no thing to begin with, and especially not when it’s from your dad doing chores around the property. The old man works hard, and he’s happy to do it to provide for the family. Appreciate all the things he does right, and don’t sweat the little things like this.

Next time you’ll have to take out the trash so this doesn’t happen.

Eh, I’d give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. Sounds like your typical stress-relief-I-sort-of-meant-it-but-not-really rant.
Sometimes you gotta vent

Normally I do take out the trash every weekend, I haven't a clue why he did it this time.

We have the composite plastic ones, I didn't know there was a difference in name between the two.

It is a compulsion. Must. Take. Out. Trash.
Other dads will understand.

That is completely factual. Why he did so is beyond me, because I always do it.

lol my dad came to visit me one time and when he was leaving he backed right into my e36 M3 that was just recently refinished. Busted by bonnet, cracked my grill, and put a hole in both the radiator and condenser. He chuckled and said whoops. I laughed and said, “someone is going to pay my deductible” He happily agreed and I took the chance to get a darkened grill, better radiator, and yellow glass fog lights. Plus, we got the deductible money back :]
relax, close your butt cheeks, accidents happen buddy :] Plus, a total car buff, compound, and wax is headed your way. Take lots of pics of that rad Focus ST!

This is one of the reasons I’m secretly happy to be selling my Ford and instead using the Chevrolet for pickup duty.
I bought the Chevy already “with patina” (and new bed patch from this weekend, post coming later on today), so something like this would effectively be indistinguishable from all the other things already on the truck.
It removes my OCD about it being spotless. So then I can actually use a face to express the Zen like acceptance of the standing aggrandizement of universal entropy...

Read the note my wife wrote for my son to take out the trash this morning and I did it anyways.

That sucks.
Were you out on Woodward Friday night? Saw a red 944 cruising around.

I was out from 8pm-2am. If you were around the area of 12 mile to 14 mile, you probably saw me. :p

Can confirm. I drove a lot nicer vehicles when I lived with my parents. At one point (‘04) I had a ‘96 Bronco XLT with every single option checked. Now I drive a ‘98 Bonneville SE (read: base model) and a ‘95 F150 XL (read: base model).

Can also confirm. Was able to afford the gas/insurance/maintenance on a ‘98 540i when I lived with parents back in the early 00’s. Now I drive an ‘03 Yukon SLT (almost 13y/o) and a ‘13 Jetta TDI (read: frugal on fuel).

That’ll buff right out, no worries there buddy!
Accidents happen, I've had someone fling my door open into a brick wall before and scuffed the shit out of the edge of it. Still haven't fixed it yet.

Tell me what car you’ll be driving so I can find you. Or will you just be at the MOPAR corner like before?
Of course I’ll be at Pasteiner’s as well, you'll only need to look for the smoking Porsche. :p

Red Magnum SRT8, Friday I might be cruising or parked with the club at the camera store.
I’m sure I can find a smoking Porsche haha.
